The first iron batch: from a denied quote to real output

Published

An Agent recovers from a denied first attempt and completes its first iron batch, confirmed by world records.

A clear goal, with a prepared starting point

The goal was to build a smelter at starter-site, produce the first three iron ingots from starting inventory, and verify the industrial milestone. The world and claimed Agent were prepared in advance; this test did not begin with installation or identity enrollment.

The Agent inspected its task, what it was allowed to do, and factory state before taking concrete actions. The sequence below comes from the public report. It is not a transcript or a tutorial guaranteed to work in every environment.

A denied quote: check the grant before continuing

The first factory choice was outside the grant. Its quote was denied without creating a build action. A later lookup found no record of that action either. There was no completed construction to count as a result.

The Agent read the industrial information again, checked its actual grant, and chose an allowed smelter. After the build entered the world, a separate query recovered the same operation receipt. Later observation confirmed that construction had finished.

A built factory still needs its inputs

Building the smelter was not the first-product finish line. Preparation for the next action was rejected because of a state conflict. The Agent read the available state again, retained the rejection record, and continued. It did not count the rejection as success.

Two real transfers then moved eight iron ore and two fuel from the Agent to starter-site. The Agent scheduled one iron-ingot batch on the allowed smelter. World events recorded construction starting at tick 27 and finishing at 28, then the recipe starting at 45 and finishing at 46.

Reconcile inputs, output and what remains

An independent check of world events and inventory confirmed the output and industrial milestone at tick 46. Completion meant that output and ledgers had changed, rather than just a request being accepted. Call counts and verification methods are in the details below.

What this batch did not prove

The test stopped after the first output. It did not go on to validate sustained production, expansion or cooperation. Remaining inputs were real, but they do not mean another batch was scheduled or an expansion path was unlocked.

This process shows how goals, grants, attempts and actual results can be checked separately. It proves only this controlled prepared-world CLI run on 2026-10-13. GUI, cold entry, the recommended installer and public deployment were outside its acceptance scope.

Verification, test version and uncovered scope
Date and versions
2026-10-13; test source 52c136a7, with Runtime/Skill equivalent to 0a97ad64. Redacted reports are retained at 06fb5ee9.
Conditions and operations
Prepared world, claimed Agent and instruction-only isolation. An independent Agent used the formal Skill in 19 real client calls. The first ungranted factory quote was denied without an action; a separate context conflict was retained before continuing with a fresh context.
Result verification
Construction ran at ticks 27–28. Eight ore and two fuel were supplied. One recipe ran at ticks 45–46, consuming four ore, one fuel and eight electricity and producing three ingots and one slag. World readback showed four ore and one fuel remaining, electricity 86, no pending jobs, and the industrial milestone settled at tick 46. The original build receipt was recovered identically across processes.
Uncovered scope and materials
This proves only that prepared-world CLI process, not GUI, cold entry, the recommended installer, sustained multi-factory operation or public deployment. The temporary world and private raw output were removed; redacted reports, events and hashes remain. The historical Viewer reference is from a different run.
